New audio gear added…I just couldn’t resist!
On a recent HD shoot for HGTV, I was working with an actress who had a particularly difficult outfit to hide a microphone on and had the opportunity to use a clients Countryman B6 lavalier.The B6 proved to be exactly the right tool for the job and I ordered one for myself the following day. The B6 is only one tenth of an inch in diameter; it is the smallest lav in the world and clearly outperforms mics many times its size!
Videotape the future President of the United States
I wasn’t sure I’d be contracted to videotape (not sh–t!) both Presidential candidates, but after videotaping Clinton and McCain at Wake Forest University over the summer, I got the call to document Obama’s message in Greensboro. He really loves North Carolina. It was a one person HD crew, me! The rally was was interesting as well as challenging as it was in a light rain but all went well.
